SPAR Portugal has secured 17,902m² of space within the state-of-the-art warehouse facility with a total warehouse area of 33,000m². Along with its large storage area, SPAR Portugal also has office space covering 1,344m² and a mezzanine of 1,119.26m² to support its administrative and day-to-day operations.
To facilitate efficient supply chain activities, the site offers 48 loading and unloading bays, a spacious 35m maneuvering zone, a clearance height of 10.6m, and a powerful electrical capacity of 1,250kW serving the entire complex.
With this new warehouse, SPAR Portugal is strengthening its logistics network in the food distribution sector. This investment has more than doubled the retailer’s consolidated storage capacity, significantly boosting responsiveness and operational efficiency.
“This move represents a fundamental step in the development of SPAR in Portugal. Panattoni Park Santarém meets the conditions we were looking for to significantly improve not only the performance of SPAR Portugal’s logistics operation, but also our relationship with stakeholders,” said Fernando Pereira, CEO of SPAR Portugal.
