SPAR Poland to expand Czeladź logistics centre by 11,200m2

March 29, 2022 IN THE CATEGORY: Supply Chain

SPAR Poland plans to expand its logistics centre in Czeladź from 8,800m2 to 20,000m2. The expanded facility will become operational this year and include ambient, cold, and frozen storage. Modern offices of 250m2 will be added to the facility in the third quarter of 2022.

SPAR Poland currently operates three warehouses; one near Poznań, one in the Silesian town of Czeladź, and one in Gnatowice near Warsaw. Within the coming months, the company plans to expand its existing warehouses and further improve the efficiency of deliveries at each of these locations as sales grow.

SPAR Poland anticipates that this expansion will meet the company’s needs over the next five years, supporting an effective and efficient supply chain for both company-owned and independently operated stores. In line with the continuing expansion of the brand’s presence across the country, the additional capacity is important for continued levels of service.

The logistics park in Czeladź is developing at a very quick pace and offers room for further expansion. MLP Group, a leading industrial property developer, is set to deliver new space within seven months from contract signing. The new facilities will be tailored to SPAR Poland’s requirements and needs related to food distribution. Key factors include a convenient location with good accessibility, ensuring quick distribution of goods.

The park is located close to the A4 motorway and the S1 expressway, 15km from the Katowice airport, 11km from the city centre, and close to the S86 expressway linking Łódź with Tychy. Thanks to its location next to a bus stop, the warehouse in Czeladź offers easy access for employees.
