Download imageThe new SPAR supermarket Lund Torv, located in the Southern city of Kristiansand, opened close to the previous SPAR Lund site. With nearly 700m2 of retail sales areas and a team of 17 employees, the company-owned supermarket will meet the needs of the rapidly growing urban development which it surrounds, including apartments, a gym, restaurants, and student housing. The assortment instore reflects the needs of those based in the locality, with a focus on its fresh ranges, including bread and baked goods, fruit and vegetables, and hot food-to-go. Digital technologies including self-checkouts are also enabled instore.
Also located in the city of Kristiansand is the new company-owned SPAR supermarket Sørlandsparken. The newly opened supermarket employs 16 people instore, providing exceptional customer service. With a retail sales area of 796m2, the SPAR supermarket Sørlandsparken provides an assortment and services which are quintessential to SPAR Norway’s instore offer. This includes food-to-go offers such as hot food, salad bar, ready-made meals, and baked goods. Additionally, the grocery assortment includes local specialities, including popular pork knuckles, and an extensive selection of fresh produce.
Meanwhile, just outside of the small town of Hønefoss, North-West of Oslo, the new SPAR supermarket Haugsbygd has opened to customers. This independently-owned and operated supermarket has a retail sales area of 600m2 and nine staff on-hand to elevate the shopping experience instore. Manager Dagfinn Schjong was previously assistant manager at another SPAR supermarket and has extensive knowledge of the SPAR brand. The supermarket focuses on local specialties as well as a hot food counter and delicatessen, which provides pre-packed meats and sliced cheeses.
