SPAR Nigeria opens new hypermarket in Abuja

SPAR Nigeria’s licence holder, Artee Industries Limited, has launched a new hypermarket at Novare Central Mall in Abuja’s Wuse district. The newly opened store provides a modern shopping environment that prioritises convenience, choice, and a great customer experience.

The 3,221m² hypermarket has a modern and welcoming look, with wide aisles, well-organised product displays, and an extensive selection across key categories, making it easier for shoppers to find everything they need in one location. The store’s design, developed in close collaboration with the SPAR International team, includes modern fixtures and lighting solutions, and clear signage, creating an inviting atmosphere for shoppers.

The store offers over 10,000 SKUs, including groceries, a full-service bakery, fresh fruit and vegetables, quality meat, frozen foods, wine and spirits, food-to-go, electronics, home appliances, computers, mobile devices, and health and beauty products. Wines & Spirits, Fruits & Vegetables, and Health & Beauty are standout departments in the store.

About 150 staff members are employed at the hypermarket to provide customer assistance and support.

Located in Wuse’s Zone 5, the hypermarket is part of a vibrant urban area with corporate businesses and upscale residential neighbourhoods. Novare Central Mall is located along key routes throughout central Abuja, meeting the retail and office needs of businesses and residents alike.

To mark the opening,  a week-long celebration was organised, featuring discounts of up to 30% on selected products, free sampling from partner brands, spin-and-win prizes for shoppers, and family-friendly activities. The launch events were promoted on social media, digital platforms, outdoor advertising, and radio.
