This new service responds to the growing demand for flexibility and ease. Whether ordering online, selling via Vinted, or returning a package, customers can now manage it all while doing their daily shopping.
“Parcel lockers not only drive additional footfall, but they also strengthen our role as a local service hub,” said Nino Tamnge, Category Manager at SPAR Netherlands. “We aim to make life as easy as possible for our customers. This fits perfectly with our convenience strategy — focused on proximity, speed, and accessibility.”
The rollout begins in Q3 2025, with all SPAR Netherlands retailers invited to participate. By partnering with multiple providers, retailers can select the solution that best suits their local customer base. This approach creates a nationwide network of smart, customer-friendly parcel points — right in the heart of the community.
These lockers complement SPAR Netherlands existing parcel services and offer added convenience and conversion. In smaller towns, they serve as a vital local amenity. With this initiative, SPAR Netherlands continues to evolve as a neighbourhood destination for more than customers daily shopping needs, but also as a hub of local communities.
