The store layout has changed slightly during the renovation, with the customer entrance opening into the non-food department. The hypermarket now also features a dedicated area for health-conscious nutrition, organic and sugar-free foods, as well as an extensive range of SPAR Own Brand and SPAR enjoy convenience products.
The company refurbished the hypermarket , installing new equipment, including modern refrigerators, fresh produce racks, bakery department fixtures, and self-service checkouts. State-of-the-art LED lighting helps save energy, as do the new freezers, which are now equipped with doors.
“The hypermarket in Szentendre plays a central role in supplying the city and the region, which is why we invested in renewing it. In the course of the modernisation, we took into account the ever-changing customer demands and environmental sustainability requirements. We also created new, comfortable, working facilities for our team members”, said Márk Maczelka, SPAR Hungary’s Head of Communications.
The store employs 92 colleagues, including the online shop team members. SPAR Hungary’s online shop and its instore pick-up facility are becoming increasingly popular in and around Szentendre.
