SPAR Guangdong opened two locations in Dongguan recently, bringing their total number of stores in operation to 80. The latest developments are in line with their strategy of continuing to build on their presence in a variety of locations with the aim of having 100 stores operational in the near future.

The most recently opened stores are based on the lifestyle format which is being rolled out across the estate. Both stores are focused on providing convenience to shoppers with the shopping experience having been created based on learnings from SPAR Partners in Europe. In addition to a premium range of fruit and vegetables, customers can choose from a good selection in the Food-to-Go department; wines; stationery items; magazines and a small non-food selection.

The lifestyle stores provide shoppers with a venue to consume their food and drinks instore and features a range of services including free Wi-Fi, utility payment, power charging stations for mobile devices, credit card payments, and more. These new stores, each of 280m2, are welcomed by customers seeking instant meal solutions and a pleasant environment.
