Download imageThe club, which has become a benchmark in inclusive initiatives over the past four years, was among the first on the island, alongside Unión Deportiva Las Palmas, to establish an inclusive team within its categories. For the 2025–2026 season, the club will host approximately eight matches designed to foster both competition and coexistence.
Furthering its support for exercise across various age groups, SPAR Gran Canaria also backs the initiative Fútbol Caminando para mayores de 60 años (Walking Football for the Over 60s), launched in November 2024. Promoted by the Inter-Island Football Federation of Las Palmas (FIFLP) and supported by the City Council of San Mateo, this programme is integrated into municipal activities for healthy ageing. CF Panadería Pulido San Mateo is currently the only club in Gran Canaria with a team in this category, extending its inclusive reach across generations.
This initiative forms part of SPAR Gran Canaria’s broader social responsibility strategy, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The sponsorship contributes directly to:
