SPAR Gran Canaria embarks on a significant digital transformation across its supply chain by integrating the RELEX Solutions platform into its operations.

This strategic move signals a significant investment into SPAR Gran Canaria’s supply chain. Through this partnership with RELEX, SPAR Gran Canaria aims to streamline demand planning, inventory management, and pricing through with the aid of artificial intelligence. The initiative is part of the retail organisation’s broader strategy to enhance efficiency and agility in its supply chain, aligning with the latest trends in retail sector innovation.

Enhancing efficiency

The implementation of the platform from RELEX Solutions, an international SPAR Preferred Supplier, will enable SPAR Gran Canaria to automate complex tasks, reducing reliance on manual processes and improving both accuracy and speed. This integration will provide a real-time view of demand, inventory levels, and business policies, facilitating more informed and coordinated decision-making.

SPAR Gran Canaria General Manager, Dunia Pérez, said that “the alignment between logistics and commercial operations is a historic step for the company, which allows us to respond more efficiently to changes in the environment and anticipate the needs of our customers. This project not only improves our internal processes, but also reinforces our commitment to a more efficient and sustainable supply chain, capable of generating value for the entire island,” she concluded.

Enhanced stock management

The platform’s advantages include minimising stock-outs, reducing shrinkage, and offering customers promotions and prices tailored to their needs. Additionally, it will enhance collaboration with suppliers by providing clear demand signals throughout the value chain. This initiative underscores SPAR Gran Canaria’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, aiming to create a more efficient and environmentally friendly supply chain.
