In November, SPAR Gran Canaria invested in two new supermarkets in the Caserones and touristic area of Tarajalillo. With these openings, the supermarket chain continues its expansion and meets the growing demand from shoppers.
The SPAR Supermarket Caserones features exclusive areas dedicated to fresh local produce, butchery and delicatessen sections, and a self-service prepared food section. SPAR Gran Canaria also creates new jobs – nine newly hired team members in this store provide professional and friendly service to customers.
Another store, SPAR Supermarket Monte Feliz, stands out with a specific range of products dedicated to the most sporty consumers. More than 300 various items include products such as protein bars, isotonic drinks and other food supplements.
SPAR Gran Canaria has renovated a 350m2 supermarket transforming it into a modern and functional store for a more pleasant shopping experience. During the store’s renovation, special attention was paid to energy efficiency with the installation of new LED lighting and vertical refrigeration equipment. These measures help to reduce energy consumption in stores and minimise the carbon footprint. Through continuous renovation, SPAR Gran Canaria is making progress towards achieving its sustainability goals.

SPAR Spain was founded in 1959 when a group of wholesalers who wished to join an international organisation came together.
