SPAR Croatia opened a supermarket with a retail sales area of 1,098m² in the country’s capital, Zagreb, on 4 September. The store is located in the rapidly growing Saint Clara district, in the south of the city, and employs 30 people.

In recent years, this district of the capital, home to about 10,000 residents, has experienced significant growth in residential construction and has become a key location for commercial and office buildings of renowned Croatian companies.

Fresh focus

A distinct feature of this newly opened SPAR Supermarket is the butchery section, where customers can purchase high-quality fresh meat and meat products. Additionally, there is a fish market offering fresh sea and freshwater fish and shellfish. For customers who prefer ready-made warm meals, the store serves freshly prepared lunch and dinner options daily.

Customers, in addition to a rich selection of quality and fresh fruits and vegetables and a rich selection of non-food items, can make faster purchases through simple and practical self-service checkouts. There is access to free parking for all shoppers with 90 spaces available in the parking lot.

Community spirit

At the opening, SPAR Croatia donated €2,000 to the Saint Clara voluntary fire brigade. At a store opening, the local fire brigade is provided with financial aid, demonstrating SPAR’s strong community spirit.
