SPAR Croatia has launched the second season of its ‘Start Up Croatia’ campaign in partnership with the Croatian channel Nova TV. Through the campaign, SPAR champions local entrepreneurs and innovative start-ups by placing their products in SPAR stores nationwide.

Eight small Croatian businesses and start-ups were selected to tell their unique business story to Nova TV viewers. In addition, their products are displayed on dedicated shelves with ‘Start Up Croatia’ signage in INTERSPAR Hypermarkets and selected SPAR Supermarkets across Croatia.

Speaking about the campaign, SPAR Croatia Management Board President Helmut Fenzl said: “In the first season of the ‘Start Up Croatia’ project, we have proven that SPAR Croatia is a strong and reliable partner for small scale domestic entrepreneurs and start-ups.”

“In the second season, we continue to support ambitious entrepreneurs, innovative manufacturers, and start-ups. The growing number of applications for this season shows that ‘Start Up Croatia’ is exactly the project our society and Croatian entrepreneurs need. Customers can now find the delicious, nutritious, innovative, and useful products of the eight selected businesses in all our hypermarkets”, Helmut Fenzl added.

In the second season, eight entrepreneurs were given a unique opportunity to introduce their products to the Croatian market. Ultimately, only one of them will take home the coveted 2021 HIT product title.

About SPAR Croatia

The first SPAR store opened in Croatia in 2005, following the licence agreement between ASPIAG (Austrian SPAR International AG) and SPAR International in 2004.

As a member of the ASPIAG group, SPAR Croatia can access a wide range of own brand products. Brand development has primarily taken place through SPAR Supermarkets and INTERSPAR Hypermarkets, both through the take-over of existing chains and opening new stores.
