SPAR Croatia invests in retail network expansion

SPAR Croatia continues to invest in the expansion of its retail network. The retailer in April 2023 invested over €4 million in a state-of-the-art INTERSPAR Hypermarket in Kukuljanovo. The new store generates employment opportunities for 100 team members. SPAR Croatia also reopened a SPAR Supermarket in Split, the second-largest city in the country and a popular tourist destination.

New INTERSPAR Hypermarket in Kukuljanovo

With the opening of a new modern hypermarket in Kukuljanovo, SPAR Croatia strengthens its position in the northern Adriatic. The new INTERSPAR Hypermarket has a retail sales area of over 3,500m2 and offers more than 25,000 food and non-food products. At the state-of-the-art self-service cash registers, customers can complete their purchases quickly and conveniently.

In addition, the store features a Tutto Bene coffee bar and restaurant. A distinctive feature is an area offering regional products of small, local producers and suppliers, showing SPAR Croatia’s continuous support of domestic producers. Another highlight is the fresh food offer, including an extensive choice of delicatessen, local fruit and vegetables, and fresh meat and fish at service counters.

CEO of SPAR Croatia, Helmut Fenzl, was joined by SPAR Executives, and the best female Croatian skier Mrkopljanka Leona Popović for the opening. Mrkopljanka Leona Popović opened the store with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony.

SPAR Supermarket in Split reopened

After a three-month renovation, the SPAR Supermarket on Spinčićeva Street in Split reopened on 4 April 2023. Located in the heart of the popular Firule district, the revamped store has a premium look and offer, with an extensive range of fresh food and consumer products.

A novelty of the reopened SPAR store in Split is the butchery, where customers can purchase fresh and high-quality meat every day. The fish counter displays an extensive range of fresh sea and freshwater fish, shellfish, and seafood. SPAR team members provide customers with advice and fish cleaning service.

Additionally, the SPAR Supermarket features warm meals freshly prepared daily instore for customers to take away. The fresh food offer is complemented by a wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as top-quality bakery products.

The non-food assortment includes an extensive range of household, cosmetics, and care items. Thanks to the new store layout, each product can be found very easily and quickly, thus significantly improving the shopping experience.
