SPAR Croatia expands its store networking, opening a supermarket in Osijek’s historic Retfala district on 12 December 2024. This modern store, with a retail sales area of 878m², brings employment opportunities to 27 staff members and serves as a vibrant addition to the community.

Located in the newly constructed “Retfala Nova” retail park, the supermarket is surrounded by other retailers, restaurants, and cafes, making it a convenient shopping destination. The Retfala district is especially popular with families due to its peaceful atmosphere and excellent infrastructure.

Broad offering

The new SPAR Supermarket boasts a well-stocked meat and fish department, offering fresh products daily. For those who prefer ready-made meals, the hot deli counter provides a variety of delicious options. Shoppers can enjoy a seamless checkout experience with four self-checkouts available.

Additionally, the store offers free parking with 210 spaces, ensuring easy access for all customers.

Community involvement

In a gesture of community support, SPAR Croatia donated €2,000 to the Retfala voluntary fire brigade upon the store’s opening, highlighting their commitment to local initiatives and community spirit.

This is the second SPAR Supermarket to be opened by SPAR Croatia within the final quarter of 2024. Investment in a new logistics centre which was opened mid-2024, will enable the company to maintain retail growth.
