SPAR Croatia creates 31 jobs with new supermarket in Dugopolje

July 30, 2025 IN THE CATEGORY: Store openings

On 10 July, SPAR Croatia opened a new supermarket in the Park & Shop Shopping Centre in Dugopolje, located just 20km east of Split.

Store highlights

The new SPAR Supermarket has a retail sales area of about 1,300m². Customers can choose from a wide selection of fresh meat and fish, along with hot meals from the food counter, and chilled drinks in a walk-in refrigerated room. The store has also created 31 new jobs for people from the local community.

Prime Location

Dugopolje is known for its large commercial zone, with excellent infrastructure and direct access to the A1 motorway. About 300 companies operate in the area, employing more people than the town’s population. The new retail park, located next to the main roundabout, spans 20,000m², of which 8,000m² has been dedicated to shops and services.

Community Support

During the opening, SPAR Croatia donated €2,000 to the Dugopolje Volunteer Fire Department. The funds will be used to purchase extinguishers and firefighting equipment, another example of community support from SPAR Croatia.
