SPAR Austria’s app users are delighted to find minus 25% jokers, discount tokens, vouchers, cheer tickets, and many other digital ways to save in the app.
“In just twelve months, over 2.5 million people have chosen our SPAR app. This shows that we have chosen the right approach: saving without asking for data,” says SPAR Austria board member Markus Kaser, delighted with the success of the SPAR app. “Thanks to the option of digital invoicing in the SPAR app, we and our customers have also been able to save around 5,400 kilometers of invoice paper. That’s approximately the same distance as a straight line from London to New York. That’s a real triumph for the environment,” he added.
On the birthday of the SPAR app, users can look forward to attractive offers, new vouchers, and exciting prizes in the competition. From August 8, all users received a new joker every day for 2 weeks. In the two weeks following there will be attractive additional birthday vouchers. The birthday party is accompanied by the Appy Birthday competition.
The new savings options are SPAR Austria’s way of saying ‘thank you’ to customers for their loyalty and making the shopping experience even more pleasant.
The SPAR app, introduced in 2023, is very data-efficient: users must consent to the terms of use to use it. There is no need to provide personal data such as name, address, or date of birth. In addition to data, the digital receipt also saves paper. Users no longer receive a printout, but have a good overview of their savings directly in the SPAR Austria app. The SPAR Austria app is available to download free of charge from the App Store and Google Play Store.
