SPAR Australia retailer expands retail store portfolio

January 2, 2020 IN THE CATEGORY: Store openings

SPAR Australia is proud to announce the opening of Nick Holman’s second store in Blackbutt, located in the South Burnett Region of Queensland.

Independent retailer Nick Holman, his wife Trinette and their two children, Lily & Saxon, will bring the same passion for retail to the local Blackbutt community as they do with their store in Jandowae. The SPAR Brand is very important to both Nick and Trinette and they are delighted that their new family-owned store is being run with the help of their two Duty Managers Ebony and Sharon, together with their locally recruited team.

SPAR Blackbutt, which opens seven days a week, offers superb fresh produce, a full-service deli, quality meat which is delivered fresh daily, a great grocery range and strong dairy, frozen and general merchandise ranges to ensure the community can source all their supermarket needs locally. Their friendly service and value offers, combined with their convenient trading hours, will no doubt ensure SPAR Blackbutt’s popularity with their customers.

Since the opening, Nick and Trinette have supported the local community – being one of many sponsors of the Blackbutt Avocado Festival held annually. They also plan in the future to support local not-for-profit organisations and source from local produce suppliers.

“We value the SPAR philosophy and support we have received – SPAR has been such a wonderful organisation to work with and we feel part of a family. We were thrilled to win SPAR Ambassador of the Year in 2018 and SPAR store of the Year for Jandowae in 2019, because we are proud to operate SPAR Supermarkets.”
