SPAR Australia has celebrated the official opening of a new SPAR Express store on Saturday 1 August in Orange, a city in the Central Tablelands region of New South Wales. The 204m2 store offers a total of 1,900 SKUs to Orange’s 40,500 residents and visiting customers.

This SPAR Express has an expansive grocery, dairy, and frozen foods range, including fresh produce, meat, and new food-to-go solutions. Their friendly service and competitive pricing combined with their convenient trading hours will ensure the store’s popularity with its customers.

Brothers Mani and Manjit Singh and family bought the store formerly known as Jack’s Corner Store, located on Moulder Street two years ago. Since purchasing the store, the Singh family have continued to renovate and improve the offer. Mani reached out to SPAR earlier in the year and started the process of re-branding the store to SPAR Express.

Mani’s aim is to create a one-stop-shop for the community. He commented that their “customer’s perception is changing now, from seeing us as just a corner store to a supermarket”. Mani added that “some people have told me they don’t need to go to town anymore, so they are very happy with what we are doing”.

Mani explains that his aim is to expand the trading area and become a larger supermarket. Mani commented that “SPAR is a big chain and they see the opportunity here. I want to set up this store properly, and it will take time, but then I would love to open another store around this area”.

This SPAR Express is located at 28 Moulder Street and will be trading 7 days a week, Monday to Saturday 6 am – 7 pm and Sunday 7 am – 6 pm to ensure great convenience for their customers.
