The 2024-25 partnership launch took place at the Girls Active event held at Roefield Leisure Centre in Clitheroe. 150 children from Pennine Lancashire schools enjoyed activities such as orienteering, glow dodgeball, cardio tennis, spinning, gym workouts, and yoga.
SPAR UK wholesaler James Hall & Co. Ltd and Active Lancashire renewed their partnership for the 2024-25 season, marking 19 years of collaboration. This long-standing relationship reflects a shared dedication to inspiring young people through sport and promoting healthier lifestyles. With the ongoing support of the SPAR brand, the Lancashire Games continue to evolve and provide inclusive opportunities for children to engage in meaningful physical activities across Lancashire.
This year’s Games also feature a vibrant rebrand, with a modern shield-shaped logo showcasing SPAR prominently. The design includes playful lettering in Active Lancashire’s brand colours and Lancashire’s iconic red rose, symbolising local pride. The updated identity aligns with the Games’ inclusive and community-focused mission while maintaining a sense of achievement and celebration for participants.
In the 2023-24 academic year, the Lancashire Games introduced a refined model with events held across three distinct clusters in Lancashire to better serve children’s needs in their own communities. This structure will continue in 2024-25, engaging over 26,000 children through 27 major events, ensuring a vibrant and community-focused program of physical activity.
James Hall & Co. Ltd’s long-standing support is deeply appreciated by the team at Active Lancashire. “We couldn’t have achieved our level of engagement without SPAR’s support,” said Andy Clark, schools partnerships officer at Active Lancashire. Philippa Harrington, marketing manager at James Hall & Co. Ltd, echoed this sentiment: “Year in and year out, we see the value of SPAR’s sponsorship and are excited for another impactful year.”
