With four new store openings nationwide in recent months, SPAR Albania’s presence across the country increased to 96 stores in total.

SPAR Albania continues to expanding bringing the brand to shoppers in new locations with the opening of four new supermarkets in Tirana, Lezha, Vlora, and Parrucë – Shkoder.

SPAR Supermarket Rrugën Mine Peza, Tirana

The most recent and 96^th SPAR Supermarket opened on the Rrugën Mine Peza in Tirana. This company-owned supermarket offers more than 8,000 products across 450m² of retail sales area, designed and tailored for locals in this area of the capital city of Tirana. SPAR Own Brand products are a core part of the offer, with over 1,200 own brand products available instore. The team of 10 employees are onsite to meet the needs of customers and ensure they enjoy a quality service.

SPAR Supermarket Rrilë, Lezha

In the city of Lezha, a new independently-owned SPAR Supermarket opened its doors to customers for the first time. Featuring a modern environment and larger-format with 900m² of retail sales space, the supermarket offers over 10,000 products to customers. A focus of the product assortment includes a selection of fresh produce, organic products, over 700 SPAR Own Brand products, alongside the extensive grocery offering.

SPAR Supermarket Vlora

The third most populous city in Albania, Vlora, welcomed a new company-owned SPAR Supermarket. This supermarket has a retail sales area of approximately 200m² with more than 5,000 products on offer, 800 of which comprise SPAR Own Brand ranges. The team of 9 team members instore provide an optimal customer service for customers.

SPAR Supermarket Rruga Arkitekt Sinani, Parrucë – Shkodër

Meanwhile, a new SPAR Supermarket was opened in Parrucë – Shkodër. Featuring a modern environment and over 6,000 products, customers can find everything they need, including fresh produce, SPAR Own Brand products, grocery essentials, and more. The supermarket has a retail sales area of 500m2 and 12 team members employed instore.

SPAR International granted the SPAR licence in Albania in mid-2016 the Balfin Group. SPAR Albania operates two retail formats: INTERSPAR Hypermarkets and SPAR Supermarkets. In 2025, SPAR Albania was sold by the Balfin Group to Viva Fresh based in Kosovo – the new shareholders will maintain the company’s strategy and personnel. The sale will be finalised during 2025.
