Through store expansion, new customer offerings, and focusing on local communities, SPAR Albania continues to make a difference in the retail sector in Albania.

Expanding Stores and Offerings to Customers

SPAR Albania has experienced consistent growth since entering the market, now operating 90 stores nationwide and serving 55,000 customers daily. Each store is designed to meet the everyday needs of shoppers and provide a pleasant shopping experience, exemplified by the recent opening of the SPAR Supermarket at Green Coast Resort. This supermarket boasts over 10,000 products, providing an exceptional shopping experience.

The SPAR Happy Card loyalty programme offers customers exclusive benefits and discounts instore. Additionally, SPAR Albania has partnered with Foodini, an online delivery service platform, allowing customers to conveniently order groceries for home delivery.

Taking Care of Communities

A core component of SPAR Albania’s strategy is its commitment to the community and supporting those in need. Over the past three years, SPAR Albania has collaborated with World Vision Albania and Food Bank Albania on the “Ignite a Hope” initiative, resulting in the collection and donation of over 13,800kg of food to the most vulnerable areas.

Throughout October, SPAR Albania supported breast cancer awareness by having employees wear pink in honor of the ‘Pink October’ campaign, raising awareness among colleagues and their families to encourage regular screenings and early diagnosis.

SPAR Albania also promotes health and community engagement through its sponsorship of the Tirana Marathon. Education is another priority, with partnerships with Tirana Business University College to provide training programmes for students.

Top of mind amongst consumers

Through SPAR Albania’s continuous development and communications, the brand is becoming instantly recognisable amongst consumers. The SPAR Brand in Albania has the highest level of brand awareness compared to other supermarkets, with 41% of consumers naming it top-of-mind for food products.

Alongside this growth and success, SPAR Albania remains focused on delivering a high quality shopper experience and develops innovative advertising strategies to ensure it stays top-of-mind with consumers in the years ahead.

Since launching in October 2016, SPAR Albania has converted company-owned stores and established new partnerships with independent retailers to expand the brand’s reach.
