SPAR Albania reached a significant milestone, with their 80th store nationwide opening in the capital city Tirana last week.

Creating job opportunities

With the opening of this store, SPAR Albania celebrate their 80th store opening in all corners of the country. Since entering the Albanian market in 2016, this significant expansion has created around 1,900 jobs, and brings the SPAR brand to local communities nationwide.

The new SPAR Supermarket is located in the Ali Demi area of Tirana, one of the most populated areas of the city. The store has a retail sales area of 630m² and offers customers great food and non-food choices, including a strong SPAR Own Brand selection. Reflecting SPAR Albania’s focus on fresh, this supermarket includes a fruit and vegetable section, as well as meat and cheese counters.

Supporting local communities

Operations Director for SPAR Albania, Borian Ujkaj, said: “SPAR has sought for some time to open a supermarket in this area to bring shoppers advantageous offers, quality products, and good service. With our ongoing goal of supporting the local community wherever we operate, we aim to create a positive impact in this area.”

All customers of SPAR Albania, including those visiting the newest store, can take advantage of the Happy Card Loyalty programme run by SPAR Albania. Card holders receive dedicated special offers and earn shopping vouchers to be redeemed in SPAR stores.
