These campaigns encouraged INTERSPAR customers to donate money in support of the charity. Year after year, painting and storytelling competitions, in aid of SOS Children’s Villages, generate enthusiasm among customers. Children can express their creativity and, at the same time, support children in need.
The areas of responsibility of SOS Children’s Villages are very diverse. These include caring for socially vulnerable children, arranging sponsorship and providing individual case assistance for families in need.
“In these challenging times, fast and unbureaucratic help for young people in need is extremely important. That is why we are particularly grateful for reliable partners. INTERSPAR has been supporting us since 2004 in offering children and young people support and a promising future”, said Christian Moser, Managing Director of SOS Children’s Villages Austria.
There are eleven SOS Children’s Villages in Austria, each of which is supported by INTERSPAR. Since 2011, every INTERSPAR Hypermarket has taken on a house sponsorship in the nearest village. INTERSPAR Austria already donated a total of €1.6 million.
“The comprehensive care for children and young people and the promotion of their individual talents is a major concern for INTERSPAR”, said Johannes Holzleitner, Managing Director of INTERSPAR Austria.
