Since 2019, SPAR South Africa has been scaling the involvement in the YES Programme, ensuring that young people are not only given opportunities but real pathways to build a future.
Each year, the organisation places over 500 youth across its businesses, providing workplace experience, skills development, and exposure to a business environment that many young people would otherwise never access. But what truly sets SPAR South Africa apart is what happens after the programme.
The organisation does not just host youth for 12 months — it absorbs top-performing talent into permanent roles, ensuring sustainability, dignity, and long-term growth.
Being recognised as the Top Job Contributor is a powerful affirmation of the impact the business is making across divisions, retailers, partners, and distribution centre teams who enable young people to thrive.
