The campaign, which takes places in participating DESPAR, EUROSPAR, and INTERSPAR stores, will see customers receive vouchers for every €15 spent instore. Customers can then allocate the vouchers to specific schools in their local area. Schools, based on the number of vouchers they receive, can then redeem them to collect a variety of educational tools and resources from a catalogue of over 60 items, ranging from stationary to support materials, and equipment.
Through the Scuolafacendo initiative, DESPAR Italia and it’s six regional partners renew their commitment to supporting education. The initiative is aimed at kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, public and private, in all the regions where the DESPAR brand is present. Schools should register on the Scuolafacendo website to avail of the vouchers.
This year will see two of DESPAR Italia’s educational initiatives, Scuolafacendo and Le Buone Abitudini, come together. Le Buone Abitudini has focused on educating the importance of healthy eating and healthy lifestyles in primary schools for over 19 years.
With the combination of both projects, a new competition called “Gli Eroi del Buon Cibo” (The Heroes of Good Food) will ask students to create a protagonist who fights bad nutrition and showcase the importance of a balance and healthy diet. All participating schools who provide a valid entry will receive 100 free Scuolafacendo vouchers, while for the 10 winning schools there are 3,000 vouchers up for grabs. The winners will be selected by a jury of experts, and the rules of the competition can be found on the Scuolafacendo website.
Ombretta Putzu, Head of Marketing and Communication at DESPAR Italia, said: “Thanks to these projects, DESPAR Italia confirms its active role in local communities, combining the proximity service it carries out with its stores with projects that have a real and positive impact: from education to sustainability, from health to culture, support for schools is part of the brand’s broader commitment to social growth and cohesion in the territories in which it operates”.
