Throughout November, DESPAR Italia continued to grow its retail footprint with the opening of 10 new stores, and the reopening of two modernised stores, across DESPAR Express, DESPAR supermarket, and EUROSPAR supermarket formats.

Five new DESPAR Express stores

The DESPAR Express convenience store format continues to grow throughout Italy, with the opening of five new stores. In Calabria, the new DESPAR Express store in Castrovillari offers customers an assortment focused on quality and convenience, as well as an array of DESPAR Own Brand products. Additional new DESPAR Express stores in Villapiana and Strongoli provide a wide range of products to customers.

In the city of Corigliano-Rossano, a new DESPAR Express store has become a reference point for shopping, established by its extensive range of DESPAR Own Brand products. The fifth new DESPAR Express store, located in Limbadi, meets the needs of a growing community through convenience and quality.

New and modernised DESPAR supermarkets

The DESPAR supermarket format continues to provide quality service to customers in rural and urban areas across Italy. In the Northwest of the country, a new DESPAR supermarket opened in Chivasso, located in the proximity of Turin. The supermarket has given back to the community with donations to two local non-profit organisations. Instore, the supermarket provides a shopping experience focusing on enhanced departments and store design, as well as sustainability and the promotion of local products.

In the city of Catanzaro, two new DESPAR supermarkets further grew the brand in the city, offering an extensive range of departments and products. Two additional reopenings took place in Auronzo di Cadore and Paternò. Both stores underwent a comprehensive refurbishment, providing an improved overall store design and instore offer.

Two new EUROSPAR supermarkets

The larger EUROSPAR supermarket format, which provides a complete shopping experience for customers, welcomed two new supermarkets. In Ravenna, the new EUROSPAR supermarket opened as part of urban renewal focusing on sustainability. The supermarket is located in an old, disused industrial building, with new urban infrastructure including cycle paths and green spaces added around its vicinity. Instore, the supermarket provides everything customers in the area need under one roof.

The EUROSPAR supermarket brand also grew in Calabria, through the opening of the store in Davoli Marina. This new supermarket provides a comprehensive shopping experience, including departments specialised in fresh product, such as fruit and vegetables, butchers, and a delicatessen.
