A series of new DESPAR Express stores have opened throughout Italy, focusing on convenience and proximity retailing for customers. In June, three new stores opened in the province of Liguria: in Albissola Marina, Borgio Verezzi, and Genoa. In July, new DESPAR Express stores also opened in the heart of Rome, as well as Potenza, Spinazzola, and Lu Bagnu.
Each store focuses on local specialities and an optimised, yet comprehensive, instore offer to both locals, commuters, and tourists alike. This includes well-stocked delicatessen counters, fresh produce, and DESPAR Own Brand products.
The DESPAR Supermarket format saw the opening of both new and modernised supermarkets throughout June and July.
In June, two new DESPAR Supermarkets opened in Comacchio and Paliano. July saw the opening of new DESPAR Supermarkets in Copertino, Rocca di Neto, and four stores in Sicily. Meanwhile, renovated DESPAR Supermarkets in Appiano, Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Livinallongo del Col di Lana, and Villanova d’Asti opened their doors to customers during the summer months.
The supermarkets showcase a wide-ranging grocery assortment, including an extensive selection of fresh produce and departments, focusing on meeting the daily needs of customers.
In June, a new EUROSPAR Supermarket in Caserta expanded the brand’s presence in the Central-South of Italy. The supermarket departments cater to the weekly shopping needs of customers, from the butchery to the delicatessen. Meanwhile, the historic EUROSPAR Supermarket in Buja reopened after a full renovation to improve every department instore, featuring a new store layout and state-of-the-art technological and sustainable solutions.
An INTERSPAR Hypermarket in Locorotondo opened its doors for the first time in July. The hypermarket stands out for its larger format and instore departments, including a delicatessen, fruit and vegetables, fishmonger, butcher, and a wine cellar. Sustainability is at the heart of the hypermarket’s operations, with low environmental impact systems, including energy-saving refrigeration, integrated into the hypermarket.
