Contact International issue 1-2026 out now

March 19, 2026 IN THE CATEGORY: Feature articles

We are delighted to showcase the first issue of Contact International for 2026, which is now available. In our latest magazine, we focus on how the SPAR brand is rooted in communities worldwide, effectively supporting the needs of a truly diverse customer base.

SPAR stores are located in some truly distinct locations. We spotlight a selection of unique stores operating in extreme terrain, ranging from the Australian Outback, to deep in the Arctic Circle, and at high altitudes. Further store openings across the SPAR retail network have also seen the development of new store designs as well as flagship supermarkets.

Our retailers are at the forefront of ensuring that customers have access to their grocery essentials. In Northern Ireland, next-generation retailers Becky and Lucy McCammond have developed their SPAR Abbots Cross store in Newtownabbey, seeing their operations go from strength to strength as a vital part of the community. Meanwhile, SPAR Norway has launched its SPAR QuickCommerce solution to provide speed and convenience for customers through fast grocery delivery.

In rounding out this issue, we highlight some of the imperative environmental initiatives undertaken by SPAR licensed organisations, including in Slovenia, Zimbabwe, and Gran Canaria, to drive forward environmental sustainability. In the world of sport, we recognised a landmark 2025 in European Athletics with SPAR’s long-standing partnership demonstrating the power of sport to inspire communities, energise shoppers, and strengthen its brand presence across Europe.
