Approximately 1,500 athletes from 51 member federations will compete, including many past, present and future European, world and Olympic champions. Fans can expect to be thrilled by six days of action in the German capital’s famous and historic Olympic Stadium.
It will be the third time Germany has been the host nation of the European Athletics Championships, with Stuttgart and Munich having staged the event in 1986 and 2002 respectively.
Demand for seats will be high, especially for the evening sessions when most of the finals will take place. Sales are already progressing well and tickets can be purchased here.
The Athletics will for the first time form part of a multi-sport European Championships involving seven of Europe’s leading sports with co-hosts, Glasgow, staging the other six disciplines: Aquatics, cycling, gymnastics, golf, rowing and triathlon. More information is available here.
