SPAR is proud to be the principal partner of the European Athletics U23 Championships 2025, taking place from July 17 to 20 in Bergen, Norway. This prestigious event brings together Europe’s most talented young athletes as they make the leap from U20 to senior level – a key stepping stone in many elite careers.

A launchpad for future champions

Since its launch in 1997, the U23 European Athletics Championships have spotlighted emerging talent across the continent. The most recent edition, held in 2023, saw stellar performances and multiple championship records. Great Britain & Northern Ireland topped the medal table, while athletes from Finland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Norway showcased their exceptional potential on the European stage. 

With Norway hosting in 2025, expectations are high for a strong home showing. In 2023, Norway’s Markus Rooth and Sander Skotheim delighted fans with a gold-silver finish in the decathlon, and they will be aiming to repeat that success in front of a home crowd. 

SPAR Norway steps up for community and sport

As principal partner, SPAR is committed to supporting not just the athletes but also the community of volunteers who make events like this possible. Gift cards valued at 200 NOK will be provided by SPAR Norway to volunteers in recognition of their support. In addition, 1,000 spectators will be taking home a SPAR Norway ‘Good Vibes’ tote bag. 

While the action will be enjoyed by all present at the stadium, the European Athletics U23 Championships will be streamed live through the European Athletics website. Fans can also follow Europe’s rising athletics stars through local digital platforms and through national media channels.
