SPAR International granted a licence to a local company to operate the SPAR brand in Kazakhstan from 1 January 2022. The group has a retail and distribution network in the country. The first SPAR store in Kazakhstan opened in 2022 and the brand continues to expand, with a multi-format retailing strategy integral to its growth programme.
