SPAR UAE has celebrated the opening of its 27th store, located in Ras al-Khaimah, the capital city of the Ras al-Khaimah emirate – one of the seven emirates that make up the UAE.

The 8,000 m² hypermarket is located in the prestigious Al Naeem Mall in the centre of the city and boasts a full and modern offering of over 5,000 products. The range includes clothing for men, women and children; electronics; textiles; general home merchandise; and a broad range of health and beauty items.

The food range is tailored for locals, expats and tourists with over 60 per cent of all products placed on promotion in this value oriented market. The world-class fresh offering includes fresh fish, locally sourced meats, Arabic snacks and sweets such as dates, an Arabic bakery, and a Food-to-Go counter.

“It was quite a challenge to have the hypermarket fitted and trading within just 18 days – the opening is testament to the committed work of the team. We wanted the store to be up and running before the holy month of Ramadan, bringing a completely new offering to Ras Al Khaimah,” said Bejoy Thomas Pulickel, Chief Operating Officer of Abu Dhabi Coop and SPAR UAE.

The SPAR Hypermarket was officially unveiled by prominent local personality, Sheik Ahmed Aissa Al Naeem, Bejoy Thomas Pulickel and David Moore, International Retail Development Director at SPAR International.
