SPAR Slovenia opens four new stores

February 10, 2016 IN THE CATEGORY: Store openings

SPAR Slovenia has invested in the development of four new stores, taking it to just below the 100 store mark. The new stores are located in Trzin, Medvode, Šempeter pri Gorici and the capital, Ljubljana.

In addition to many innovations in the fresh departments, the new SPAR stores score high on the energy efficiency front with the implementation of energy saving lighting and cooling systems.

The Trzin store is the smallest of the four, with a sales area of 655m², while the Medvode store has a sales area of just over 1,300m². Both stores offer free parking spaces to customers.

SPAR Šempeter pri Gorici is a large hypermarket, located in a business complex. It has a selling space of nearly 1,400m². SPAR Ljubljana has an instore restaurant and is 1,752m² in size. All of the stores offer a good variety of fresh produce, feature service departments and have a great atmosphere instore. As with all SPAR stores operational in Slovenia, staff training has ensured good customer service and a solid understanding of product handling.

The high quality offerings and enjoyable shopping atmosphere of the stores have delighted both customers and employees alike. At each of the opening ceremonies, excited customers flooded the stores – gathering at the entrances at least one hour before the ribbons were cut.

This excellent turnout was in large part thanks to the outstanding marketing efforts of SPAR Slovenia. Information about the openings was spread through radio advertising and leaflets distributed to local households. A full day’s entertainment was provided for each of the store launches and representatives of the media were always in attendance to report on the unveilings.
