SPAR Poland’s multi-format growth strategy continues

November 9, 2021 IN THE CATEGORY: Store openings

SPAR Poland has continued to grow its store numbers during 2021 with new stores and through the conversion of former Piotr i Paweł stores to the SPAR and EUROSPAR formats. The last of these stores to be converted was the EUROSPAR Supermarket at the Warsaw Fashion House Klif. Opened on 13 October 2021, the store has been completely renovated, modernising the lighting, refrigeration systems, and flooring. Customers can now enjoy both traditional and bakery services, a great fruit and vegetable selection, and food to go.

This opening preceded the opening of a new EUROSPAR Supermarket on 14 October in the town of Pszów. The residents of that city can now also access the bakery, food-to-go department, and fresh produce counters, as well as good grocery options.

Promoting local producers

All EUROSPAR Supermarkets in Poland offer a range of approximately 2,500 products, including great choices in fresh foods. Specialities from local suppliers complement the selection of imported products available. In the fresh departments, customers can find the best quality fruit and vegetables, cheese, fish, as well as a great bakery and confectionery offer. The ready-to-eat departments now also offer popular local specialities.

Modern refrigeration and lighting systems, as well as the use of natural materials in the bakery and fresh produce sections, enhance the stores atmosphere. The SPAR Natural section offers products for diverse lifestyle needs.

Buying better together

Customers also enjoy a broad range of SPAR Own Brand products, sourced locally, regionally, and internationally, through the strong SPAR network. With the growing interest in organic and lifestyle options, SPAR Natural sections offer gluten-free, lactose-free, wheat-free, and other choices. A globally sourced range of wines has increased the options in that department and most recently, SPAR Poland introduced the SPAR N°1 Value range to their offer.

SPAR Poland continues to expand and welcomes independent retailers wishing to partner with a global brand.
