The new SPAR Supermarket is located near the Sultan Qaboos University, bringing a premium shopping experience for customers, combining freshness, convenience, variety and affordability. The store provides an extensive assortment of food and non-food products, as well as fresh fruit and vegetable, a butchery, seafood counter, and a great selection of local produce, as well as quality products from across the globe.
As an introduction to the brand, for the opening there was a special ‘Fresh and Local’ themed promotion on special deals. Additionally, as part of the extensive range on offer, there is a special offers section dedicated to different product categories. This store created an opportunity for 14 people to build a career in food retailing, including departmental specialists, such as a butcher.
From a sustainability perspective, LED lighting has been used throughout and closed door chillers in the dairy and beverage areas.
SPAR continues to grow in Oman and become a trusted name in the retail industry, with customers confidence and trust in the brand as a driving factor. The retailer aims to be at the heart of the communities and neighbourhoods which it serves by offering a range of offerings for shoppers in the locality.
