SPAR Oman celebrated the country’s 49th National Day by inviting doodle artists to the Madinat Qaboos SPAR Supermarket where a charity campaign was launched in celebration of the Sultanate of Oman, the official birthday of the Sultan.

SPAR Oman felt the date was an auspicious occasion to launch its annual ‘National Collection Campaign – Lend a Helping Hand in Feeding the Needy’ in collaboration with Dar Al Atta’a, an inclusive charity association that caters to those in need in the Sultanate. SPAR Oman has put up collection booths in all 23 SPAR stores across the country where customers who wish to make a contribution can donate food products which once collated will be handed to Dar Al Atta’a. Customers can also donate pre-packed charity packs, readily available in SPAR Oman stores.

Moosapeta Sridhar, CEO of SPAR Oman said: “We are particularly pleased to start off our National Collection Campaign in connection with the day that is close to our hearts. We are committed to support the communities we operate in, and as part of these enduring efforts we are proud to have partnered with Dar Al Atta’a. We hope to collect a large amount of food items to hand over to Dar Al Atta’a.”

Thanking SPAR Oman, Mariam al Zadjali, Chairperson of Dar al Atta’a, said: “We are pleased to collaborate with SPAR Oman, who have once again taken up a noble initiative targeted towards those in need.”

SPAR’s success story in Oman has been possible because of customers’ acceptance, which has been driven by the four core values of freshness, choice, value and excellent customer service.
