The team has developed the right retail solution for their market, adapting international best practice and utilising shared knowledge from other SPAR Partners and SPAR International in the process. This first store includes a number of innovations such as the bakery, and benefits from having an extensive range of SPAR Own Brand products sourced regionally and internationally. Throughout the design and development process, SPAR Kosovo benefited from access to the preferred suppliers of equipment and services.
The launch marketing campaign has been well received by customers, delighted with the strong fresh offer available instore and the excellent customer service – a reflection of their investment in local training and benefiting from access to the SPAR training academy.
Extensive work went into the development of good IT solutions, working in partnership with international SPAR members facing similar situations and set-up requirements, facilitated by SPAR International.
To support the intended network of SPAR stores, a warehouse and distribution system has been established, taking best practice internationally and adapting to suit the local requirements.
SPAR Kosovo is set to have a great year in 2019 with a planned roll-out of stores – more on this will be shared in our communication channels in the coming weeks.
