SPAR Hungary invests over €4.94 million in modernising three stores

With an investment of more than €4.94 million, SPAR Hungary has upgraded three supermarkets in Budapest and Dunakeszi, enhancing both the shopping environment and operational efficiency. The stores feature modern equipment, fresh-focused layouts and energy-efficient technologies that make shopping faster, more convenient and more enjoyable for customers.

Budapest store renewed with €1.86 million investment

On 6 August 2026, SPAR Hungary reopened its renewed supermarket in Budapest on Országbíró Street following an investment of about €1.86 million. The sales area has been expanded to 723m² and now features a new interior design, modern equipment and an expanded fresh offer. Customers can use two traditional checkouts and eight self-service checkouts. The store entrance and façade have also been renewed, while LED lighting, carbon dioxide-based refrigeration and doors on refrigeration units support energy-efficient operations. Customers can also return beverage packaging at the instore REpont, recycle non-returnable packaging and use bicycle parking. A team of 22 team members manages the store and serves customers.

SPAR supermarket reopens in Budapest on Toplița Street

The SPAR supermarket on Toplița Street in Budapest reopened on 30 July 2026 following an investment of about €1.52 million. The 698m² store now offers a refreshed shopping environment with modern equipment, an enhanced fresh range and services tailored to customer needs. Fresh food, convenience products, meat and delicatessen items, dairy products, grilled dishes and bakery products are available near the entrance. Promotions and seasonal offers are displayed in the central area. The store includes a self-service grill and bakery unit, two traditional checkouts and five self-service checkouts. A team of 14 colleagues ensures the smooth operation of the store.

SPAR Hungary modernises Dunakeszi store

In Dunakeszi, SPAR Hungary has completed the modernisation of its supermarket, investing about €1.74 million. The 844m² store combines modern equipment with a refreshed look, an expanded fresh offer and solutions designed to make shopping more convenient. The layout gives customers easy access to fruit and vegetables, convenience products, meat and delicatessen items, dairy products, grilled dishes and bakery products, while promotional and seasonal ranges are placed in central areas for better visibility. A self-service grill and bakery unit, two traditional checkouts and five self-service checkouts support a smooth shopping experience. The façade and car park have also been upgraded, with 98 parking spaces available for customers.
