SPAR Hungary invests over €14 million in store modernisation

SPAR Hungary has allocated more than €14 million to upgrade stores nationwide. Recent improvements reflect the company’s focus on enhancing customer experience, expanding self-service options, and implementing sustainable technologies.

€3.46 million invested in SPAR supermarket in Győr

SPAR Hungary has reopened its supermarket in the Arrabona Shopping Centre in the heart of Győr, now featuring 1,152m² retail space. With a fresh and modern design, a customer-friendly layout, and upgraded services, the supermarket is once again a key shopping destination for locals. The entire shop floor was renovated, including new refrigeration units, fresh produce displays, and updated checkouts, offering customers five traditional and six self-service options. Supermarket highlights include the new SPAR to Go section, the fresh food offer and convenience products. Investment also focused on sustainability, with energy-saving LED lighting, an eco-friendly CO₂ refrigeration system, and heat recovery technology.

SPAR supermarket in Erdőkertes refurbished with €580,000 investment

The SPAR supermarket in Erdőkertes has been fully renovated. The 734m² sales area now features a fresh, modern design, a special area for promotions, and updated bakery displays. A new highlight is the self-service grill counter. The supermarket’s expanded refrigeration units allow for a wider range of fresh products. To support fast and smooth service, the store is equipped with three belt-assisted checkouts.

SPAR toGo concept launched in revamped supermarket in Nyíregyháza

The SPAR supermarket in the Korzó Shopping Centre in Nyíregyháza has been completely renovated, with an investment of over €2.82 million. The 1,080m² supermarket now features new refrigeration units, improved fruit, vegetable, and bakery displays, self-service checkouts, and energy-saving LED lighting. A standout feature is the launch of the new SPAR toGo concept, offering a variety of hot and cold meals.

Reopening SPAR supermarket in Mátészalka

SPAR Hungary has modernised its supermarket in Mátészalka with an investment of nearly €3.08 million. The 1,024m2 supermarket has been equipped with modern refrigeration units, shelving, tills, and self-service checkouts. A new addition is the self-service grill station, offering ready-to-eat warm food options. The interior layout has been redesigned to prioritise fresh products, with easy access to the bakery and meat counters.

Modernised SPAR supermarket in Esztergom reopened

The SPAR supermarket in Esztergom has been renovated with an investment of €1.21 million. The modernised 895m² supermarket now includes self-service areas and a stronger focus on fresh food. In the centre of the supermarket, customers find discounted and seasonal products, highlighted by a new colour scheme and modern layout. The store features two traditional checkouts and four self-service checkouts.

Upgraded SPAR supermarket in Kőszeg

The 548m² SPAR supermarket in Kőszeg has reopened after a €1.64 million makeover. The upgrade includes new store equipment, refrigeration units, vegetable racks, bakery furniture, and cash registers. At the entrance, customers are welcomed by a fruit and vegetable department, followed by a deli counter, a bakery, and a self-service grill.

SPAR Hungary invests €1.41 million in SPAR Törökszentmiklós

SPAR Hungary has invested €1.41 million to modernise its supermarket in Törökszentmiklós, introducing the latest design and store layout. The modernisation puts a strong focus on self-service areas and a more prominent display of the fresh food offer. When entering the supermarket, customers walk through the fresh food department, followed by a wide selection of meat and dairy products. In the centre of the store, discounted and seasonal items are featured.
