SPAR China has unveiled a new flagship store in Jiangmen, a city in the southern province of Guangdong. On 29 August, shoppers could first sample the expansive assortment available at the new store in Taishan Wanda Shopping Center. With a sales area of 6,000m2, the SPAR Hypermarket has a simple yet modern look, offering customers friendly service in a premium shopping environment.

Fresh is key
The SPAR Hypermarket offers an impressive range of fresh produce, meat, fish, and seafood at competitive prices. The fresh fruit and vegetable section includes local produce but also many exotic and imported fruits that are hard to find at local markets. Both local and imported meats and seafood, including New Zealand beef and Boston Lobster, are offered instore.

The culinary team makes a range of delicious prepared foods instore every day, from freshly baked bread and pizzas to rotisserie chickens and hot dishes. There is also a high-end instore seafood restaurant and seating area.

Frozen and chilled food is also a key focus in this store. Benefitting from SPAR Guangdong’s strong temperature-controlled supply chain, all fresh meat and dairy products are distributed, transported, and displayed at the highest standards to ensure their quality and freshness.

Wine & drinks
In the wine and drinks section, shoppers have access to a comprehensive range of wines, from value to premium, domestic and international, white and red. The wine section is designed as a wine cellar and is temperature-controlled to ensure optimal quality conditions.

Friendly customer service
The latest technologies and devices, including self-checkout systems and self-service scales for weighing, have been incorporated in this high-end hypermarket. The hypermarket adheres to the highest health and safety standard and provides first-aid kits and drinking water at the Customer Service Counter.

During 29 to 31 August, SPAR Guangdong offered ¥10 coupons to those who registered as new SPAR Members. Beyond providing a vast assort of special offers and discounts, all seafood purchased at the SPAR Hypermarket can be freshly cooked in the store’s kitchen free of charge.
