SPAR Albania strengthened its retail presence with the opening of the new and modern INTERSPAR hypermarket in Qerret in the Durrës region, offering more than 45,000 products.

The new INTERSPAR Qerret hypermarket is accessible to both tourists visiting the Durrës region and residents. With 250 parking spaces, the hypermarket is designed to offer customers choice and convenience seven days a week. The hypernarket features more than 3,600m² of retail sales area within a building of over 5,000m². Drawing on international retail best practices from the SPAR network, the INTERSPAR Qerret hypermarket has been adapted to meet local shopper needs.

Wide range of choice

Customers can choose from more than 45,000 products across fresh food, groceries, homecare and household ranges. Service departments include an extensive fruit and vegetable section, a delicatessen counter, and a bakery, to mention only a few. The complete product assortment combines SPAR Own Brand products, local and internationally renowned brands, and other product categories to support a comprehensive weekly shop.

Wide aisles provide an easy shopping journey from the entrance through to the checkout counters. Clear department signage assists customers in navigating the store, while bold gondola ends highlight the special offers throughout the hypermarket.

Opening day celebrations

Thousands of customers attended the opening ceremony, where product tastings and other activities marked the occasion. The opening celebration introduced shoppers to the new INTERSPAR hypermarket and its broad product offer.

This opening marks the latest step in SPAR Albania’s continued expansion. It highlights the ongoing investment in developing high-quality retail formats which are bespoke to local shopper needs.
