DESPAR Italia has continued to invest in its store network with the opening of new and modernised DESPAR branded stores across the country in April.

Significant DESPAR Express openings

In the North-West of the country, the new DESPAR Express store in Pietra Ligure offers customers a shopping experience focusing on convenience.

DESPAR Italia wholesaler for the Central-South region, Maiora, celebrated the opening of the landmark DESPAR Express store at Bari airport. Located in the arrivals hall, the store caters to the needs of travellers on the move through the airport. The store offers a full-service designed for speed and efficiency, alongside a practical product assortment.

New and modernised DESPAR supermarkets

In the North-East, the renovated DESPAR supermarket in Grado reopened after extensive renovations. The supermarket features a revamped layout and product assortment catering to locals and tourists, with a strong focus on fresh departments including butchery, fruit and vegetables, bakery, and a pizza corner.

In Campania, a new DESPAR supermarket opened in Aversa, providing a well-stocked assortment characterised by fresh produce and DESPAR Own Brand products.

New EUROSPAR in Emilia-Romagna

DESPAR Italia welcomed a new, larger-format EUROSPAR supermarket in Nonantola in the province of Emilia-Romagna. This supermarket provides a one-stop shopping experience, ranging from fresh produce to the bakery, food-to-go, and a complete grocery assortment. Particular focus is placed on local produce, with a range of products instore coming from regional suppliers.

INTERSPAR hypermarket in Barletta

In Puglia, the INTERSPAR hypermarket in Barletta opened as part of a redevelopment project to restore a historic site in the city. Located in one of the historic Apulian headquarters of the Folonari Winery, the INTERSPAR hypermarket in Barletta preserves and enhances the architectural elements of the site, including the original chimney and terracotta bricks.

This hypermarket offers a comprehensive shopping experience for customers, with everything they need available under one roof. Signature departments include fruit and vegetables, fishmongers, butchery, food-to-go, and a wine shop. Dedicated sections also showcase local products from the area.

Additionally, the hypermarket includes sustainability features, including energy-efficient solutions such as LED lighting systems and energy-saving refrigerators, as well as an ecological area equipped for the delivery of used oils, batteries, PET bottles, clothing, and medicines.
