Across the country, DESPAR Italia celebrated the opening of four DESPAR Express stores.
In June, two new DESPAR Express stores welcomed customers in Sardinia: in Porto Ottiolu and Santa Teresa di Gallura. The DESPAR brand on the island aims to meet the needs of both local residents and visitors to Sardinia, a popular holiday destination. Both stores focus on a wide fresh assortment, with fresh fruit and vegetables, food-to-go, and cold drinks on offer alongside everyday grocery essentials.
In July, two new DESPAR stores also opened in Sestriere in the North and Marina di Ragusa in Sicily. The stores provide convenience for the local community and tourists, with food-to-go options forming a core part of the store offering, alongside a tailored grocery assortment.
The DESPAR supermarket format saw the opening of two new supermarkets and the reopening of three others following renovations.
In June, a new DESPAR supermarket opened its doors in Rimini, offering a modern shopping experience with a comprehensive assortment ranging from fruit and vegetables to fresh meat and fish, as well as a focus on locally-sourced products. In Sicily, a new DESPAR supermarket opened in Chiusa Sclafani in July, offering a quality, convenient shopping experience to meet customers’ daily needs.
Meanwhile, three DESPAR supermarkets welcomed customers once again after receiving significant upgrades, in Bova Marina, Andria, and Tollo. In each supermarket, the store design was modernised, and the instore departments were upgraded, providing an improved overall product offering.
The EUROSPAR supermarket format presence continues to grow throughout Italy. In San Giovanni in Marignano, a new EUROSPAR supermarket opened as part of a broader urban redevelopment project in the region. The supermarket offers a large product assortment to customers, including a dedicated space for locally sourced products. A second new EUROSPAR supermarket opened its doors in Rocca San Giovanni, meeting the weekly shopping needs of local customers.
The EUROSPAR supermarket in Altichiero reopened its doors after renovations which enhanced the store design and technology. The refrigerated systems were fully replaced, and the food-to-go department was redeveloped to incorporate some innovations, such as fresh pizza.
