Drangar hf. entered into an agreement with SPAR International to operate the internationally renowned SPAR brand in Iceland on behalf of Samkaup, beginning in February 2026. Drangar hf. is a key multi-sector consumer groups in Iceland. The holding company’s multi-brand grocery retail division, Samkaup, will operate stores trading under the SPAR brand. The initial rollout plan is to convert stores from the current 10-11, Krambúðin, and Kjörbúðin chains to the international SPAR brand.
