SPAR Russia opens second EUROSPAR in Omsk

SPAR Russia has opened a new 1,212m2 EUROSPAR store in the city of Omsk. Lifting the level of retail in the region, the store offers a comprehensive selection of food-to-go and fresh items along with a wide range of SPAR Own Brand products. Opening on 15 November 2019, this is the second EUROSPAR store in the city, attracting around 82,278 customers per month with an average basket spend of €7.15.

Located in a new shopping mall in a busy residential area, the store attracts a steady flow of pedestrian traffic in a modern retail setting. Beyond its expansive range of fresh categories, the store has an outstanding food-to-go offering, which includes national cuisine cooking stations. Instore, customers can enjoy a variety of eat-in dishes in a stylish SPAR Café zone. The new EUROSPAR is run by 65 store and 41 food production team members.

The store’s private label share of turnover currently stands at 3.84%, with the own brand range slated to expand further to cater to customers’ growing demand for a convenient selection of high-quality products.

Omsk is located in southwestern Siberia. With a population of more than 1,154,000, it is Russia’s seventh-largest city nationally and second-largest east of the Ural Mountains. Serving as a train station for the Trans-Siberian Railway and as a staging post for the Irtysh River, Omsk is a pivotal transport hub in Russia’s infrastructure network. 

SPAR Russia opened its first EUROSPAR Supermarket in Omsk on 16 May 2019. A vital feature of this EUROSPAR Supermarket is the extensive instore fresh food offering.
