In June 2017, SPAR International granted an exclusive licence to Ermes Department Stores PLC, a member of the Cyprus Trading Corporation PLC, to operate the SPAR Brand in Cyprus. SPAR Cyprus is initially focusing on opening company-owned supermarkets, before expanding through partnering with independent retailers.
